What a “Day”

St. Leo the Great (400-460) is one of our best teachers. For instance:

Let happen in your hearts what is going to happen to your bodies.

He is, of course, referring to the resurrection of the body on the last day.

We don’t know much about the resurrection. We do know the truth of it, of course, since we witness Jesus’ resurrection appearances. But that’s about it.

What a day it will be. Abraham rejoiced, we are told, to see the Lord’s Day (John 8).

We too will rejoice. Simply let your heart be resurrected today.
