South Woden ecumenical service soars with Gospel music

A joint ecumenical service involving “Gospel Music: Old and new” was held at Mary Help of Christians parish, South Woden last Sunday, August 28.

The event was co-hosted by MHOC and the South Woden Uniting Church.  The three participating choirs were Rhythm Syndicate, South Woden Uniting Church Singers, and The Gospel Folk.  

We had impressive attendance; effectively a full house.

The afternoon of gospel tunes reached a grand finale as the three choirs joined forces with the congregation to sing Amazing Grace. And ‘how sweet the sound’ it was – almost brought the house down!
