Archbishops Christmas Crib Award 2024

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All entries to include:

  1. The centrality of the Baby Jesus
  2. Mary – the mediative mother
  3. Joseph – the practical father
  4. The Magi – the universality of the Nativity
  5. The Star – all creation rejoices

Invite your family, friends or colleagues in a synodal way to thoughtfully discuss the type of nativity scene you wish to prepare. Ensure the focus remains on the true essence of the Nativity by avoiding unnecessary “extras” or any form of “politicisation”.

WHO: Student groups, families, friends, or individuals…anyone!

HOW TO ENTER:
Send your image and explanation to catholic.voice@cg.org.au or simply use the form below

WHAT:
Send a photo and a brief explanation of each item in your nativity scene, explaining its significance in the Christmas story.

The winner, selected by a special judging panel, will be announced on Friday, December 20. The Archbishop will present the winner with a gift during the Cathedral’s Christmas Eve Mass.
