Seeded Word

Seed and soil and water have a great relationship, don’t they? The possibility of all that lovely produce.

However, although the seed may be fine and the water may be rich in nutrients, the soil can be a bit iffy. It needs manure and tilling before it is ready to receive.

It’s a great image for the Word of God, this seed that with the water of the Holy Spirit’s grace can produce such growth in us.

So, am I using the experience of life, examination of conscienceness and prayer to prepare myself to receive this energising Word?
