Puppets?

We are told that the “churches grew strong in faith and numbers” (Acts 16).
 
Paul meets Timothy. Timothy is young and full of the Spirit.
 
What then do we make of the fact that they were “told by the Holy Spirit not to preach the word in Asia.”
 
And why does the “Spirit of Jesus not allow them to cross into Bithynia”?
 
The command to “preach to all nations” (Matthew 28) requires wisdom.
 
Yes, God does not desire or require blind obedience.
 
We’ve simply got to pray and think our way through it.
 
We’d be puppets otherwise.
