Phantom Appearance?

Jesus offers his customary, historical and resurrected greeting, “Peace be with you.” Why not? He is not only a “man of peace,” but is peace himself.

Then follows an outstanding, fantastic encounter. The resurrected Jesus is not a “disembodied ghost or phantom appearance.” No, he is a real, bodily person, but now resurrected into a new life beyond our minds and our imagining.

We need to get out of ourselves, well and truly. Life on earth has meaning, but is still bereft.

The resurrected eternal life that awaits us is extraordinary – extraordinary.
