Perfect Light

These are days of great joy, despite COVID-19. We are in the Easter season – 50 days of encounter with the Risen Lord.

And we see his “shape and form” revealed to us in the Acts of the Apostles. Today’s reading from Acts 11 is no exception. The Risen Lord simply dissolves any semblance of prejudice.

The Risen Lord is perfect light. Nothing and no one remains hidden. The opening prayer of the Mass is helpful:

O God, perfect light of the blessed, bring us to rejoice in the full measure of your grace, for ages unending.
