Pentecost

For all of us, but particularly for those still sitting on their hands, the message is still insistent. ‘I am pouring out my Spirit on you!’

This stirring word … from God’s ‘mouth’ to my heart.

Acts continues, ‘Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young see visions and your old dream dreams.

But what happened with the assembled apostles and disciples, men and women, was that they got up, exited their comfort zone, and started a church. Fear gone; confirmed in love and trust, active in ministry to the marginalised and oppressed.

Don’t just celebrate Pentecost; live it!
