New initiative brings youth to God
Term three saw the exciting launch of ‘Grill’d and God.’ This series aimed for students years 10-12 in our archdiocese seeks to open up the floor and engage in topics that matter most to our young people—promoting the goodness, beauty, and truth of our Catholic faith.
The quickly sold-out event hosted at Grill’d Manuka welcomed students from Marist, St Clare’s, Merici, SFX, and Girls Grammar. The night opened with live music from the Archdiocesan band ‘CANA,’ followed by a talk presented by Fr Trenton Van Reesch on the topic of ‘What am I Worth.’ The audience texted questions to the panel for discussion.
Marist Service Captain, Dean Pham, and Merici Youth Minister, Neve Tualley provided insight on the topic and encouraged the young audience to truly engage with their faith
This initiative from the Cathedral seeks to continue in bringing together students and youth ministers from across our archdiocese. The night was a big success receiving lots of positive feedback. We look forward to meeting again in term four.
