Loving Union
Today’s liturgical readings trace the blossoming of the relationship between God and us, God’s daughters and sons. Trinity reveals that our God is relationship personified, bursting with loving-kindness.
Moses on the mountain is gob-smacked when he realises that God is not a harsh judge but a God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich in kindness and faithful to that love.
Paul asked the people of Corinth to emulate that: help one another; be united; live in peace, welcome God’s warm presence amongst you.
Jesus lived in loving relationship – good enough for him, good enough for me?
