Lest we forget
Today we remember the millions of people killed during World War 1 and those that have since followed. It is timely to reflect on their sacrifice.
The ten lepers were healed, but only one came back to give thanks to Jesus for what he had received. What were the others thinking? Did they take their healing for granted, or were they so determined to get back to their life that they forgot to reflect on where this healing came from?
Today is a time to stop and give thanks. Our freedom has been bought by others sacrificing their lives. Let us give thanks to God for them and pray for their souls. In gratitude today, we are reminded about what allows us to live in peace and not take our freedom for granted.
