In the Middle

But Jesus knew their thoughts and he said to the man with the withered hand, ‘Stand up! Come out into the middle (Luke 6).

It takes courage to stand in the middle of a crowd, don’t you think?

There are four cardinal virtues – Prudence, Temperance, Justice, Fortitude. 

Prudence is the most critical, but fortitude is the one to be encouraged first among the young.

But think politically for a moment. It takes fortitude to ‘stand in the middle’ and reject extremes on the right and the left.

Yes. Let’s stand in the middle, spiritually and politically.
