Fr Richard’s reflections on Camino de Santiago
Parish Priest of Mary Help of Christians, South Woden, and Dean of the Central Deanery, Father Richard Thompson celebrated his 33rd year as a priest by walking the famed Camino de Santiago in northern Spain.
Upon his return, Fr Thompson spoke with Sydney broadcaster and producer Dan Mullins who hosts a weekly podcast featuring interviews with Camino pilgrims from around the world who have walked the many paths to the remains of Christ’s Apostle St James in Santiago de Compostela.
Here is the audio recording of Fr Thompson’s interview.

Really enjoyed the telling of this part of your life ‘journey’ Fr. Richard. Love Jo and Paul
Thank you Fr Richard for sharing your Camino with us. Whilst listening to your interview I found myself smiling and recalling our own Camino. It is 5 years today since my husband and myself started our Camino from St. Jean de Port. Walking the Camino was one of the most significant experiences of my life. It will stay with me forever and, like you enjoyed the simplicity and connection with this beautiful world. Yes, the people do make the Camino and it is so wonderful to experience the goodness in them. We plan to walk the Camino again and like you not sure which path to take. God bless you Fr Richard and Buon Camino. Linda & Peter
