Online Public Lecture “The Ageless Voice of the Young: Fostering Emerging Liturgical Musicians” by Steven C. Warner

Steve Warner will share some of his wisdom and vast experience of working with and nurturing young musicians to become leaders of liturgical music. He will explore why it is important to encourage young musicians’ spiritual development through liturgical musical expression to foster more engaged and lasting ecclesial participation as they develop their relationship with Christ. He will speak about how young musicians can find their place and strengthen their Christian identity as members of a group who praise God together while leading the assembly’s musical prayer. He will emphasise the importance of not underestimating the musical or spiritual capacity of young people and how building solid musicianship and striving for musical excellence enhances their commitment to God and to their community.
