Invitation to the multifaith Commonwealth Day Celebration
March 10 @ 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
The Commonwealth Day Celebration Committee and the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture warmly invite you to our Multifaith Commonwealth Day Celebrations, a vibrant event that will bring together the rich cultural and spiritual diversity of the Commonwealth.
The Governor-General, Sam Mostyn, will deliver the Commonwealth Day message at a service highlighting the unity and shared values of the Commonwealth on 10 March. The theme for this year is “personal and community resilience.”
The multifaith service will feature prayers and readings from esteemed faith leaders on the theme of resilience. It will also include performances by cultural groups from various Commonwealth countries, including Bellringers, Fijian Lali Drums, the Knight of Bhangra, the African Gospel Choir and the Lion Dancers. Also present will be three choirs – the Canberra Men’s Choir, A Chorus of Women and the Papua New Guinea Peroveta Singers. The event promises a spectacular display of colour, music, and festivity.
A flyer for the event is attached. Please share this flyer amongst your networks.
We look forward to your presence at this celebration of unity and diversity.
