“A CHURCH FOR ALL: a Guide to the Australian Plenary Council…and Beyond” – Virtual Book Launch

FreeThe Australasian Catholic Coalition for Church Reform (ACCCR) invites all to the virtual launch of this timely and inspiring book, A Church for All: A Guide to the Australian Plenary Council …and Beyond – an important new publication from Garratt Publishing.
Thursday, 9 September by Zoom. Join Francis Sullivan AO, Claire Victory, and John Warhurst AO for the official launch of this important book, and support its contribution to a spirit-led Plenary.
Francis Sullivan is a Plenary Council Member, Chair of Catholic Social Services Australia, and Chair of the Board at Mater Misericordiae Ltd. He had been Chief Executive Officer of the Truth, Justice and Healing Council, whose role was to coordinate the Catholic Church’s response to the Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse – with a commitment to justice and compassion for survivors.
Claire Victory is a Plenary Council Member and National President of St Vincent de Paul Society – the largest lay-led Catholic organisation in Australia. Claire recently spoke of the Society’s ‘crucial role in the restoration of the church’s credibility’, calling ‘for greater inclusion in the church and an urgent recasting of church leadership and governance at every level of the Church in Australia’.
John Warhurst is a Plenary Council Member and Chair of Concerned Catholics Canberra Goulburn. John writes for Eureka Street and the Canberra Times. He is author of the new book Wrestling with Church Hierarchy: Engaging with the Plenary Council & Beyond.
