CSPA welcomes new funding arrangements for non-government schools
Catholic School Parents Australia welcomes the funding outcomes announced today by Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Education Minister Dan Tehan.
The Chair of Catholic School Parents Australia (CSPA), Karl Rodrigues said ‘Catholic School parents are grateful to Minister Tehan for recognising the issues for many families in Catholic schools under the current funding model’.
‘These new arrangements for the non-government sector will go a long way towards assisting families with their right to choose a Catholic School for their children and maintaining diversity in education,’ Mr Rodrigues said.
‘The commitment to continue discussion on unresolved issues with the non-government sector is also appreciated as is the support from the Minister to ensure efficient implementation using up to date data,’ Mr Rodrigues said.
Catholic School Parents Australia represents the families of the 765,000 students in Catholic Schools across Australia.
