Pastoral Message: Prayers for Peace in the Holy Land

Archbishop Christopher Prowse12 October 2023

Dear Friends in Christ,

We have been horrified by the atrocities that are taking place at the present time in the Holy Land.

Today I have spoken with the Jewish leadership here in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. I assured them of our heartfelt thoughts and prayers for the Jewish people and all affected at this time throughout the world.

As children of Abraham we have a special bond with the Jewish and Islamic peoples.

May I ask you and your parish communities to pray for peace in the Holy Land in the midst of these evil actions over recent days.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Archbishop Christopher Prowse
