In 1983 a young Fr Ken Barker had an experience of the Charismatic Renewal which he wanted to share with the youth of this Archdiocese.
The 7pm Mass on a Sunday night at the Cathedral became a place of welcome for young and old.
People were moved by the Spirit. Some became regulars, some came now and again. Some came because it was the last mass in Canberra and had their lives changed!
St Benedict’s at Narrabundah, the present home of the Charismatic Mass, invite you to celebrate this 40th Anniversary. If you have been in any way part of this journey, please join us.
