Junior youth group builds strong link with Sacramental Program

The recent Confirmation program conducted at the Mary, Help of Christians Parish in Pearce was an incredible opportunity to link the sacramental program with the growing Junior Youth Group.

Seeing the formation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, Youth Minister Rossen de Ramos said that he saw “unity between the parents, their children and the Parish.”

“I witnessed the love, faithfulness, patience and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit at work!”

An exciting fruit of the Sacramental program has been connecting the young people into the Parish junior youth group, with up to 25 young people gathering every fortnight.

Not only are the young people gathering as a community, but they are looking for more ways to come into the life of the local Church community. A number of them have joined the youth choir at the Parish, which has been supported by a number of families from the Parish.

Linking young people from Sacramental programs, key entry points of faith for young people and their families, into the life and mission of the Parish community will continue to be a key goal of the work of the Youth Ministers into the future.
