Effective prayer the aim of seminar
WOULD you like your prayers to bear more fruit?
A unique opportunity to learn how to pray more effectively in the power of the Holy Spirit will be offered when Anne-Marie Gatenby holds a one-day prophetic intercession seminar in Canberra next month.
Mrs Gatenby, from Perth, is the National Intercession Coordinator for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Australia.
She is coming at the invitation of the local Catholic Charismatic Renewal and says the first step in intercession is coming back to the importance of growing in our relationship with Jesus.
“This is essential in learning to hear what is on His heart,” she explains.
“Prophetic intercession is prayer led by the Holy Spirit.
“If we listen to the Holy Spirit, He will teach us how Jesus wants us to pray.”
Moving Mountains
Her prayer seminar will also cover topics of ‘growing in prophetic intercession’ and ‘moving mountains with our prayers’.
There will be teaching on the day and time to practice and she said she is excited about meeting people from ACT and surrounding districts.
Importantly she is looking forward to being able to help people pray strategically led by the Holy Spirit.
Mrs Gatenby not only serves the Australian Charismatic Renewal, but she also plays a key role on the Asia Oceania Intercession subcommittee.
The Asia Oceania region stretches from the Middle East to the Pacific Islands. The prayer needs are many and often urgent.
“My role is to link the intercessors in the states of Australia and in the 21 countries in the Asia Oceania region,” Mrs Gatenby continues.
“I help intercession groups to form and I train people how to be effective intercessors.”
The seminar is being held on Saturday July 14 at St Peter Chanel’s Church Yarralumla from 9am to 4pm.
